Lūm Wall Tapestry
Lūm textiles express the Sumbanese traditions through the weaving techniques using a backstrap loom. Intricately hand-loomed and hand-twisted, these are designed for practical use in the home. Not only suitable as beautiful wall tapestries, these multipurpose pieces are also appropriate to be used as decorative table runners for special occasions. The Indigo tone has undergone cold-dyeing process using Indigofera Tinctoria plants, whereas the Lava tone is achieved by hand-dying the yarns using local Morinda roots, a native flora to the Sumbanese soil.
