Gala Kimono | Ahmir
Each Gala kimono is intricately hand-drawn using the traditional technique of wax-resist dyeing, a process that transforms fabric into a wearable canvas of vibrant stories.
Working together with our master batik painter, Mas Ta and the local collective of his village in his atelier in Central Java, no motif is ever the same and no person will be receiving a carbon copy. This is the nature and process of our traditional hand painted batik. A beautiful and unique creation that holds not only a tradition, but also the story of the makers.
Model is 175cm / 5ft 9in. and wears a size OS. This straight-cut kimono is tailored to an oversized unisex fit.
